Intergold was founded in 1980 and by 1984 began to fill an international void in the recognition industry through the development of unique customization capabilities for jewelry and merchandise for the corporate, schools and sports markets. In July 1994, Intergold stock was listed on the Alberta Stock Exchange through an initial public offering.
 
Currently Intergold is active in recognition programs for corporations and jewelry awards for educational institutions and sport championships. Intergold�s business has expanded rapidly in all areas since going public. Corporate recognition remains the core business and Intergold continues to broaden and refine its services in that area. Intergold is now the established leader in supplying championship rings for Canadian sport where detail and exacting standards are demanded. In 1994, Intergold beat all the North American competition to win the contract to make the NBA championship ring for the Houston Rockets. In 1995 we did it again!
 
Intergold employs over 100 recognition industry professionals, including account managers, goldsmiths, craftsmen, merchandise and quality assurance administrators, MIS engineers, technology engineers, experienced corporate communicators, graphic designers, and an outstanding group of customer service representatives. All of the employees have been trained in-house as its manufacturing and systems programs do not exist elsewhere. Many have become certified professionals, and a certified GIA diamond gemologist is employed on a full-time basis.
